Wacthing the videos and reading through the chapter. I came to think that this era was very interesting and the videos made me speechless they were very interesting. Although, sometimes i get a little bored, but then they mention something that i become attracted to it and i could not stop looking at it. Overall this chapter is good, interesting and had a lot of helpful information. And most definetely new things that i have learn and help me understand more as to why things happen and why they occurred.

So far this semester has been a whole different, from problems that have occurring or things that have occurred, but that is all history. Now i have to move on and continue whats going on. Well as we all know that when we are going to school, working, and family life its hard to manage everything and not seem to forget to do something. Well as for me thats what i been through working in a place that deals with customers and package can see the affect as what the world is going through. I have notice that there is definetely a lot of things going around the world, and makes me think about my future and my surroundings. Well as for me this semester has been very difficult trying to come back and get into the right track after taking a semester off. Well its hard for me to come back, but now that the semester is almost done, iam actually proud that i have accomplisg a semester and trying to continue to finish my career.

I VOTED!!!

What can i really said. This year it was a very challenging election. It was a very tough call, with all the props we had and the presidents. I will like to said that although i voted like a week and half ago, but didnt drop it off till yesterday. LOL. It was hard to really think who really was going to win. It was weird i was at work and about 8:15pm my manager call and she starts yelling telling me that we had a president i really didnt pay that much at attention at the time since i had to take care of customers, but although at work we were watching the election like every five minutes and some one in the back will be yelling how many each had electoral votes. Well all i can really said is that it was a good election. Now that we have the 44th president that is African American to become president and made history, let wait what the next four years take us. Lets get ready for the 2012 election.

I really enjoy reading the article about the small town that was built by the people for the people. In deed, i was amazed that a US company is doing that to the Mexican culture, especially some where that the city was built by some one.. Also i taught that it was wrong that they had to lie in order for them to get the permit, but i have to admit in the Mexican country all what the government really cares is about money; therefore, when Walmart came with the idea and they had all the money to provide all the necessary documentation, that is why the Mexican government approve their decision. Yeah the employees will be earning a lot of money, but we all know that Mexico is a poor country is the money they getting paid really worth what they are working for. Indeed, i just taught that was an amazing article and that i would never taught that a US company will treat another culture differently in order for them to earn more profit and become a world known company.

Well what can i really said. I really enjoy the video that was presented about the pyramids. It contain a whole lot of information. I also enjoy how the pyramids contained paintings, carvings etc. It was very neat to learn about those type of things.. Indeed this was my very first time i was interesting learning more about the subject. I actually was amazed because i always taught that pyramids only exist in Egypt and no where else, i was actually wrong. Since, in school they mostly teach us about other thing and not Mexico well actually except the war.

I Found it interesting that many of the ideas, food, or things they used to do in the old days still exist. Indeed what i also found interesting was how the calendar system work, how they had two the 260-day calendar and the 365-day calendar, and how the 260 calendar still employed in Guatemala today, and also what the history was behind the calendar system that they came up with. That is the most that fascinated me the most about the reading this week.

Frida Influence.

Self portrait along the boarder line between Mexico and the United States, shows a lot of meaning. In this painting, Frida makes a clear connection about her feeling s towards the United States. She stands like a statue in elegant pink dress with white gloves between both worlds. On one side, the ancient Mexican ladscape, with its rich warm natural earthy colors, exotic plants and pieces of Aztec sculpture. The forces of nature and the natural life cycle govern the Mexican side. On the other side, the dead, technology-dominated landscape of the United State is portrayed in dull greys and blues. This is definetely influence by the Aztecs since her painting has exotic plants and Aztec sculptures with some ancient landscape.

Frida Kahlo Paintings

I really like this picture because it left me thinking why she painted all the objects that she painted belong there. It just like be curious about the objects. For example, the toilet why would she painted in the middle on top of a pedestal?




One of my top favorite painting, It shows the process that a human goes through and where you live.







Another one of my favorite ones. I really like how this picture shows that she belong to both nations and gives us a perspective on how Mexico is and now the United States is.




This was just a good pictures, it shows a lot of emotion, disgrace, and what she was expecting and what happen when she had her miscarriage.




This picture shows what her pain was going through and all her feelings after she had her accident. I like this painting because it shows a lot of detail.






What can i said about this last one. I chose this one because it made me think why she painting this one and what exactly was going to her mind. I like this as well because it helps me think more about the painting.

Frida Kahlo

WOW!! This is my second time attending this exhibit. I was really amaze by the exhibition of Frida Kahlo. All her paintings are just truly amazing, entertaining and fabulous, but although some of the paintings do leave you hanging, meaning that they left you wanting to know more. The most important thing that i like about this exhibition was how they basically told you here hold story in just the words that were painting on the wall and what were her emotions when she was paiting. It was almost telling you her life and just basic and understanding information. There were several paitings that i really enjoy and there were some that just left me speechless, or saying to my self why is this in the picture. I just wish that i was able to talk to her so i will know what was behind that picture that she painted. Although, i know that she did paint what ever was going through her head.
